Important Information - Proposition Y

Proposition Y, is a ballot initiative set for June 5th 2012. The Federal Government has mandated that the Metropolitan St Louis Sewer District continue addressing 350 sewage over flows in the city and country. As a result, residents and businesses could see a 123.3% rate increase within the year. Proposition Y, would help finance the changes to the water system while keeping rates low. If proposition Y is approved by the voters, the average monthly wastewater bill would increase 52% from today until Jult 1 2015. If it is not approved, the average bill may increase 123.3%
