Bellerive Gate Security Starting This Week

Normandy Police Department has suggested that the Village of Bellerive Acres hire a private security company during the evening/nighttime hours close to the anticipated date of the Grand Jury decision extending for 1 to 2 weeks, dependent upon the situation. After meeting with the trustees, we feel this is the best option for all of us. Here is what to expect:
A Security Officer will be stationed primarily at the entrance of the Village.
Initially, they will be checking identification and all residents will be given a placard to place in your vehicle for all future entrances.
For all guests, the security officer will verify visitors.
Village Residents will need to notify the security team of whom is visiting to allow them to validate legitimacy.
A list of Village Residents names and addresses will be provided to the Security Officer to assist the process.
We understand this could provide a slight inconvenience, however, we feel this is important for the safety and security of all of us and our neighborhood. Please give these security officers the courtesy of doing the job we have hired them to do.
